# Helpful Tips:

01 -
  • It transforms just a handful of humble ingredients into something that looks like it belongs in a Mediterranean cafe, without any complicated techniques.
  • The contrast between the crispy bread, melty cheese, and juicy tomatoes creates a perfect bite that somehow tastes even better when eaten standing up in your kitchen.
02 -
  • Dont slice your bread too thin or it will become a brittle cracker in the oven—about 3/4 inch thickness gives you the perfect ratio of crisp exterior to slightly chewy interior.
  • Adding the basil after baking rather than before preserves its vibrant color and prevents it from turning into sad, blackened confetti.
03 -
  • For an elevated version that never fails to impress, brush the edges of the bread with garlic-infused olive oil before adding toppings—it creates a flavorful crust that perfectly frames the central ingredients.
  • Let the feta come to room temperature before baking for a creamier, more evenly melted result that makes all the difference in texture.
